Our mission is to inspire and enable all people to realise and reach their potential by delivering high quality experiential education and adventurous activities. With 100% of MY Adventure profit  being reinvested into charitable projects through our parent charity MYDG.

MY Adventure is a customer focused and ethically minded social enterprise. We deliver high quality outdoor and experiential education, personal and social development, environmental education, adventurous activities, skills acquisition programmes and vocational qualifications.

The difference between MY Adventure and other organisations are that all profits are reinvested into community projects. This ensures we have the maximum positive impact within our community.

MY Adventure instructors are highly qualified with significant expertise in youth and social work, outdoor and experiential education, personal and social development, skills development and training. We work with broad clientele from challenging groups who are leaving the city for the first time, to instructor training programmes; And from stag and hen parties, to delivering a City & Guilds in cycle mechanics.

MY Adventure delivers safe, fun and educational programmes that are tailored to the abilities, needs and budget of the client.

Ross Brinson

Director

Ross has a BA hons and MSc in outdoor education as well as a range of national governing body qualifications. Ross has been working in the outdoor sector since he was 17 and has an extensive amount of personal and professional experience.

Peter Airlie

Projects Coordinator

Peter is originally from North Edinburgh and works passionately with his community. He runs our Climate Challenge Fund project ‘Chain Reaction – Reducing carbon through active travel’. Peter is also an active cyclist and loves adventures!

David Butter

Instructor

David has graduated from our MY Academy programme and is a full time assistant instructor with MY Adventure. David is a keen mountain biker and climber who is working to become highly qualified as an outdoor instructor.

Chris Thomson

Development Worker

Chris has significant experience in both youth work and the outdoor sector. Chris's role within MY Adventure is to support young people and adults to overcome challenges and realise and reach their potential.

Alison Jarvis

Administration Officer

Alison has worked in the banking industry and run her own business in the past. She is now the oil that keeps the MY Adventure machine running! Originally from Harrogate but has been living in the beautiful city of Edinburgh for 15 years.

Jen Howie

Instructor

Jen has a BSc and a post graduate certificate in outdoor environmental and sustainable education. Jen has been working in the outdoor industry for 6 years, both in the UK and abroad. She is skilled in both water and land disciplines.

Sam Moody

Project Officer

Sam oversees and delivers MY Adventures MY Bike project across Edinburgh. He is a part time Physics teacher, bike enthusiast and our sustainable travel guru!

Kerr Sproul

Project Worker / Mechanic

Kerr delivers MY Bike projects at Craigroyton and Drummond High Schools. He is our master mechanic ands role is to teaches secondary school students those skills.

Scott Parry

Trainee Instructor

Scott has just started his journey to become an outdoor instructor and facilitator. He is making his way through a range of national governing body qualifications.
